For some reason lately my 360 has been picky about what games it will let me play and when it will let me play them. I keep getting a unrecognized disc error/disc its damaged or dirty clean with a soft cloth and restart console,but sum of the discs are brand new,and its not constant either I'll play certain games for an hour or 2 or more and then try to play it the next day and it gives me the error it wont even load the game at all it says play game when I turn it on but no icon for the game that is when it doesn't work

The disc may be dirty, or scratched. Try cleaning the disk and if it still doesn't work, just blow into the cd placer, because there may be dust in it.
Could be a couple of things' one if its scratched. The discs are sensitive. Or if its an xbox game only some are backwards compatible unless you get that extra hard drive. 2 it could be a tray or eye error and you may need to get it looked at. Unless its just on that game.
call of duty has a history of being a console killer, if your xbox 360 version is older, your console engine might not be able to keep up with this kind of game, I had an xbox 360 b4 and same thing happened it plays on other games but wont play with call of duty. It also happened to my ps3, what I did was I updated my firmware version for both console. Now both consoles works with call of duty. Give it a try. Thanks
Has your 360 been dropped or damaged lately because the disc reading might be broken I suggest taking it to the shop you bought it from and consult them about it and tell them whats going on hope this helps :)
