Device sense error when I use the roxio burn and when I use the my dvd to burn a dvd it will encode and then say fail to burn image to cd

1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Follow this path C:\\ Program Files \\ Common Files \\ Install Shield locate the sub
folders Engine and IScript.
3. Rename (Right Click and choose "Rename" both folders example: Engineold &
IScriptold.
4. Close out of Windows Explorer and run setup again.
5. Apply the latest update patches from our website www.roxio.com.

If you have burned an image file to it then it's already finalized.  Try with another burning soft. or just use another disk.

Freezing like this is usually a sign of lack of memory.
Ensure all other programs are shut down.
Burn fewer files at a time

You haven't mention which OS you are working with. I guess it is Windowsxp. Download nero and install it. It might help you to burn your files.I think that Roxio media creator is incompatible with your current OS.

Check to make sure the program is compatible with Ur os.

This happened to me also. I fixed the problem by buying new DVD discs, sometimes the mac's rom doesnt like particular discs. Its a trial and error thing with which ones it will use. Make sure you are using the latest version of Roxio toast to burn with, also make sure your ROM is DVD-R.

If all this fails, it could be your writer in the rom. Try burning a CD, if that works it will be the above problems.

Try using discs with a GOLD BOTTOM, it seemed to work for me.

burning dvd images using roxio really does wonders. however, when you trying burning it to your physical dvdrom, it fails. this may be due to firmware bugs or needs some fixes. have it updated to the lastest firmware update and regularly clean your vdvroms lens with a cleaning kit.
