Hey fireball1711 I'm at work on lunch break I give you a few some info to get ya started. The Left Lid Lock has big time problems with corrosion issues with it?s proximity to the bleach dispenser. Are you throwing an "OP" or ?OD? error when you hit the start button? Take a look at these links below to get you started. You will find a replacement part number for the Left Hand Lid lock the Service Manual and a parts look up links. The common console errors that stop the washer from working are ?OP? & ?OD? caused by an open lead on the magnetic reed relay, lid magnet out of position and corrosion on the male pins and plug assembly. The last alarm is the ?FL? error code for failed to lock again corrosion issues produce these faults most of the time. Don?t worry about the Right Hand Lid lock. I would disconnect it?s plug, tape of the plug end. It simplifies troubleshooting. You only need Left Hand Lid lock to operate for the washer to work as designed. If you can give me the details on the Console error codes you display that will help. Try the tips I mention in the links below and post back with any questions. I can dedicate more time to your issue after work tonight. OD Alarm OP Alarm Good Luck??. Rich

SOURCE: My lid switch fuse keeps

You have a short in the wire. Follow the wire to the control panel and look for anyplace it may be touching another wire or it may have a bare spot and is shorting out.

Testimonial: "I believe you are correct but I have not been able to find the source of the short. We had issues with it before so it's time for a new one. Thanks!"

Lid will not open

Hello,
It means your lid switch is defective. If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. To determine if the lid switch has failed, watch this videos below.

Washer stopped

There are two switchs and a fuse hooked to the lid switch. If the fuse went out on of the switchs is bad. You can get the whole switch assembly with the fuse if that is the problem.
