Tried to pair a Samsung Renown U810 to Parrot mki9200. Phone found Parrot device OK and paired but did not ask for PIN code. Parrot shortly displays "Memory Full" error & phone pairs up. In a few seconds, phone reboots, Parrot disconnects and does not reconnect again. No other phones are paired to Parrot. Tried numerous times to Object push Contacts to Parrot. Goes thru transfer procedure and completes but phonebook in Parrot empty.

I only paired the Samsung Renown to the Parrot. No other phones are paired but still getting the "Memory Full" Error !

  • Anonymous Oct 14, 2009

Only see the (1) phone..............Samsung Renown, however the check box preceeding the displayed phone is NOT checked & unable to be checked !

Will try the tricks later when I get home tonight. In the meantime,

    1) Why does the Parrot not ask for a PIN # when pairing the Samsung renown ? Tried pairing a Motorola KRZR and it asked for a PIN #.

    2) For both phones (Samsung & Motorola), when depressing the Green phone key, there is no audible queing. The Motorola was previously paired to the Parrot for several months and after the phone was deleted from the Parrot, adding the phone back did not restore functionality. When pairing the Motorola, received the "Memory Full" error also, but it asked me for a PIN #.

    3) Tried resetting the Parrot to Factory settings & the system just cycled forever.... spinning circle arrow; and process never completed.

Hi,

You can link up to 10 devices on the Parrot MKi9200.
If you link an eleventh phone, the kit displays “memory full” You then have to delete one of the linked telephones. To do this:
1. Press the knob and select Settings > Bluetooth > Linked devices.
2. Select the telephone(s) that you no longer need.
3. Select Delete

Let me know if need further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

    2. Reset the hands-free kit:
Repeat the following sequence five times:

press the "Volume (-)" button and then the "Volume (+)".

    3. Enter the menu:
Press the following sequence twice: [SEEK up] button then the [SEEK down] button.
•Go forward through the menu: Press the "Volume (+)" button.
•Go backwards through the menu: Press the "Volume (-)" button.
•Select a menu option: Press the "Phone" button.
•Cancel a function: Long press of the "Phone" button.

Check and let me know, if this works unless i would find some more tricks.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for your response!!

The step i offered to you is listed in FAQ there. This shows they are aware of the problem. The Other tricks, i collected it from my database which is a combination of User Reviews and Feedback.

The other reason what i suggest would be a Faulty Component. This is the only reason if it would be show such erratic behavior. There are electronic items and it would hardly take a sec for them to act Stupid. So, just chillz out and use some tricks which is given by other Users.

    Thanks.

Hello. When you pairing a blue tooth with a samsung if required a code it would be 0000 unless is a specific code by the manufacturer.
Fix: turn off the blue tooth on settings on the phone and turn it on. Let the phone scan for devices, if it says found p that should it. When you see it on the phone press on it, the phone and Bluetooth should pair by doing so. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Unable to pair phone

Is it able to see the car kit but you don't get the pin code to connect?

Try sending an MP3 to the Parrot kit. I couldn't even get the Parrot BT in my car to ask for the BT password numbers but found out to try sending an MP3, which will fail by the way, and it asked for the password finally.

There was an error in my case, but then the phone asked to connect to the Parrot again and the pairing worked.

There is an issue with newer Nokia phones, something I will be thinking about next phone upgrade.

It doesn't let me punch in the code of 0000. other phones are easier to pair.

Go to settings/ pair with phone/ other phones. it will then give you the code to use, then search for new paired device from your phone, when it finds parrot, click pair and enter code shown on parrot screen. Make sure you delete all other paired devices from parrot first. instructions can be found at parrot.com

New phone needs to be connected to my Parrot

You will need to go to settings and paired devices, delete any old devices, then go to settings / advanced settings / pair with phone. this will then give you a pin code to enter. Now search from your phone for Bluetooth devices, select parrot and enter the code given.
you can find a manual at parrot.com
