My phone was working ok, i didn't drop it or something like that. I just turned it off for night. Then I am not able to turn it on. When I press the "power" button on the top of the phone InfraRed port is blinking with a red light and that's it. I thought I had ran out of battery power. When plugged the charger in, the same problem, InfraRed port was blinking with a red light. It cannot even recharge. I got another battery of the same type, but the same thing is happening. I tried to put another SIM and I also tried without any SIM card, but no help, same thing. What could be the problem? Thanks

I've had the same problem twice. What I've done and has solved it is:
Take out the battery and connect the k790a to the AC. The screen will start blinking blank. Let it do that for a minute. Insert the battery WITHOUT disconnecting the charger from AC. The Sony Ericsson logo should appear in a few secs.Sometimes you have to try two or three times until you get the logo back. Hope this helps, Bye!
