If there's no evidence of power at all (no lights, etc.) you have likely lost the power supply. These are simple to replace and can be found at a number of sources, including eBay, for around $30.

I have the same problem with my hp7060n, but I looked on the power supply and it was blinking, which is to say there is a power problem. I checked first the power supply and it was ok and checked cable by cable and found out it was coming from the mother board not the fans, pci cards or pcu. so i m looking to buy another mother board but not easy to find for an abordable price.

What is the problem, my Storm is plugged into the power supply and everything does not work until I start it up. When I turn it off, the lights and everything else works for a little while then sarts to...

Do you have power at the outlets? If you do but the lights keep going dim then your converter is going bad or has already failed. Your lights are 12v and the outlets are 100v. If you do not have power at the outlets then you need to check the transfer switch that toggles between generator power and shore power.

My HP1502 screen doesn't want to turn on

Check the obvious first, is the power cord plugged in properly? Both to the outlet and to the monitor (if it's detachable).

Is the outlet working?

Is it turned on? Check the switch.

Is there any light from the monitor? It's either orange or blue. If it's orange, you may have a defective graphics card or memory.

It won 't turn on

check your power cords, check your outlets, check your surge protector, check the switch on the back of the pc. there may be a black toggle switch with a circle and a line, make sure it's flipped to the line side. if all that is normal, unplug the cord from the computer and open up the case. look at all your power plugs and make sure they're all secure, try and reseat the 1 or 2 main plugs, there should be a rectangular 12 pin plug and maybe a 4 pin plug. unplug them and then plug them back in. put the case back together plug it in, and give it a go. if still nothing then you have to troubleshoot whether the power supply is junk or if your motherboard died. we'll move on to that if it comes up. good luck!

I have the 691tr-icc6 outlet/toggle. I would like the switch to control the outlet below it. So I can turn on and off the outlet as needed. , Where do I put the black and white wires that come to the...

You have switch plug combo with dark screws, brass screw, and silver screw.
Dark screws are for black Hot wire coming from breaker box.
Brass screw is wire going to Load that you want to turn on-off.
Silver screw is for white Neutral wire coming from breaker box.

To set up so switch controls outlet, you need 2 dark screws on one side of device that are connected by break-away fin.
Remove fin so dark screws are no longer connected.
One dark screw goes to switch, one dark screw to outlet.
Hot black wire connects to dark screw for switch.
Connect jumper wire from brass Load screw to the dark screw for outlet.
Connect Neutral wire to silver screw.

To test for Hot and Neutral:
Separate wires.
Turn power ON.
Test each wire to bare ground wire, tester lights up on Hot.
Hot is identified.
Test Hot wire to all other wires except bare ground, tester lights up on Neutral.

on the back of the TV where the power cord plugs into the back of the tv there is a small black on/off switch- it's not as obvious as you would think.... but that was turned off. Not sure how that happened since the back of the Tv was never touched when it went dead- but I unplugged the cord from the back of the tv and from the outlet and reset that switch and it worked.

Model VSX-D511-S audio video multi-channel receiver not turning on at all do i need to get it serviced?

First do the basic checking.Inspect the cord if not cut or break and secondly the outlet where you switch the plug if it's working or not if all the step is okey and yet no power, you better clean the switch with a contact cleaner, when cleaning take out the plug from the outlet, then proceed to cleaning press the button so dirt's come out,and toggle all switches or button so it will functionand try look for reset switch .Before you switch on the plug be sure you back the all original position of switches and button and you do not have power again....That's the time you go to service center.

sounds like the surge protector didn't protect. I would change the power supply.
