Kenwood 7100 dnx7100 .... bluetooth address book limitations??

It appears there is a limit of 300 entries in your address book! Is there away around this? Pretty stupid for a high piece of equipment .... I would assume most people have 300+ names .....

I'm having trouble even transferring my contacts over. I have a Blackbery 8703.

I installed the bluetooth adapter and transferred my contact list successfully after a dozen attempts. Sometimes the keyboard is grayed out and unusable and sometimes it isn't grayed out and works just fine. What can be done so that it works all the time? I've tried resets. I disconnect and reconnect the phone until the keyboard and contact list are not grayed out and it's very annoying.

GET A REGULAR PHONE BOOK LIKE THE ONE AT HOME, THAT SHOULD GET RID OF YOUR PROBLEM AND THAT SHOULD SHOW ALL THE TIME..

Yeah, I'm having Bluetooth trouble too... didn't know it has a 300 address limit??!! that's dumb. I agree, for a high end piece like this, I'd think it'd be a bit better. My problem is that my address book (which I sent to the unit one by one...) sometimes is there, sometimes is not. Kinda frustrating. Anyone know how to get your address book to be recognized all the time??

I'm sure you know this, but in order to send your contacts to the Bluetooth, you first have to disconnect the device through your phone. Then you can send them one by one. A guy at Car Toys says that the Lenwood unit is notoriously difficult with the address book situation... hope it helps.

Airbag Warning Light Reset Procedure:
The reason for this is that you turned your car on with the airbag warning light for the passenger located in the vent panel above the radio disconnected. To reset it. Turn your car off. without starting the car (foot off the brake) Turn the car to the "on" position. wait for the airbag light to blink. The SECOND it goes off before it comes back on and blinks you need to hit the button again and turn the car off. wait 2-3 seconds and repeat 3 times.

Kenwood dnx 7100 shuts off sporadically

If it is shutting off and coming right back on I would defintley take another look at your ground connection. This is the most likley cause for the sudden turn offs. Especially if it comes right back on.

Address Book - Manual entry

You have to first pair your phone with the head unit. After that is successful, unpair it on your phone, but keep the bluetooth on. Go to individual contacts, and select "send using bluetooth". If the contact transfer is successful, the phone number will appear in the Phone Book list on the head unit, the next time you pair it.
