Hi i have a RCA P52937SG with the bowing of the top and bottom of the screen and the picture looking like 3D at the edges.I unpluged the convergance module power supply and the picture got much worse so i guess the convergance psu is ok .The convergance module looks like 6 heat sinks with 3 transistors or regulators attached to each one. What should i check and test and if all else fails were do i get a new module and what is the part number i should be looking for? The chassis number is ptk195m4b thanks other part numbers are ctc195m4 and 15888430
Check on the power board - 2 diodes CR19713 and CR19710 DC voltage - around +45VDC and -45VDC- Check both diodes at the plug side CR19713 should be the - 45VDC. Rca Has service bulletin about replacing these 2 diodes even if they check ok.
Part #227066
Check any other supplies feeding the convergence board - and check /compare the transistors on the conv. brd heat sinks - sounds like your on the right path
