DVD Player DVD-P241
Huncha,
I had the same problem today. I got a screwdriver and opened the case from the back. It was simple, just 3 black screws. Then I looked in the unit and saw that there were 2 dvds loaded in the unit. Apparently, my daughter didn't realize a dvd was already in the loading tray when she loaded another dvd. I gently removed the 2 disks by prying the black plastic holder open and sliding the disks out. Then I put the cover back on and put the screws back in. Works fine now. I hope this helps you. I don't think the unit has a manual eject button, but it sure was easy opening the case and looking in the unit myself. Good luck.
Hi,
I unscrewed 3 black screws on the rear side, removed upper panel and realized that disc was shifted a little from the center. So I move it to the center position with fingers so it could be easily rotated with finger. Then put upper panel back. Good luck.
The laser lens is dirty preventing the disk from loading. Clean the lens with a cleaning disk available from any electronics store. To open the tray use the manual eject button with a paper clip. If it doesn't have one then tun the player off then back on and hit the eject button while the player is booting. This might take a few times to get the timing of turning unit on and hitting the eject button to get it to work.
Hook-up to a SonyKDL-32L4000?
