Re: blower stays on
If the blower that is staying on is the room air blower, you have either a short in the thermostat wire, the thermostat is set on Fan or the wires to the control board are hooked to the wrong terminals. Should be red on R, white on W, green on G, yellow on Y and blue on C. If you disconect the G terminal the room air blower should stop.

Re: blower stays on
Check your thermostat,
is the blower switch on
check your t-stat wires and make sure your connections are the same as on the blower
sounds like you have red on the blower
connection on the control, keeps 24v on the blower when the the t-stat is on

AT THE BACK OF YOUR THERMOSTAT MAKE SURE YOUHAVE JUMPER ... While troubleshooting my downstairs furnacethat wouldn't turn on, I turned off the ... when I replaced the filter I had to take cover off,and the switch is held .... HVACTroubleshooting a gas furnace control board and blower motor.
Hello, if this is a electronic ignition Furnace the relay is located on the intergrated control board. The only problem is that you cannot replace only the relay on those boards, the whole board must be replaced.
Have some one hold the bottom door safety switch, turn furnace on wait until heating fan relay clicks, and check at terminal (Heat) & terminal (neutral or where all the white wires are located on the control board) for 115 volts to 120 volts. If voltage is present replace blower motor, if voltage drops out while running then replace control board.Turn power off to furnace, open bottom door and feel blower motor with hand, if motor is real hot replace motor. you can not oil this type of motor, it has to be replaced along with the compacitor. Good luck.
Check the board for a set of dip switches. Check against the old board for switch positioning. These control fan on/off times. Ensure you turn power off before changing switch positions. If no dip switches,??
All gas furnaces have a fan control of some sort. Either a mechanical fan control where there is a temperature probe that reaches into the heat exchanger compartment thru a hole in the panel that separates the control part of the furnace(this would be the front of the furnace where all the controls are) from the heat exchanger. This type of control is either a small black plastic control about 4 inches by 2 inches and about 1 1/2 inches thick secured to the panel with 2 screws. Or it is a slightly larger silver colored control that should have a pull off cover. It may say Honeywell on it. Either way the control will need replacing. The other type of fan control is a solid state control board. This will most likely be located in the indoor fan compartment. It should be located under a covered control box. The box with all the wires going into it. This board will also need to be replaced if your furnace uses this type of fan control. You will need to bring your furnace model and serial number to a dealer that sells your brand of furnace or go online to a parts dealer that carries parts for your furnace. Hope I was of help to you! Good luck!
Try cycling the switch at the furnace to reset the blower board. If this doesn't work remove the green wire from the blower board(computer board) to eliminate a shorted t-stat or shorted wire between the furance and t-stat. If blower remains on, then blower board is shorted. I've seen all these problems.
