Your bake element could be burned out & the oven is trying to get to temp with the broil element only. see if it is getting warm or if it has a burnt spot on it. if it seems to be ok, you may have a bad oven sensor. the oven sensor should have a reading of at least 1100 ohms. let me know if i can be any further help.

My Maytag MER5755QAS oven won't heat up. My broiler will not work at all. I choose Bake, set to 350 degrees & it reverts back to 100 degrees and just stays there. My range top works perfectly.

A Maytag oven not heating at all may be due to a blown thermal oven fuse. Your oven's thermal fuse is a protective feature that trips when the oven overheats

The oven is taking forever to heat to 250...The broil works and the stove works...The oven will not heat above 250 on regular bake mode

Sounds like the bottom element is not working, Check it. If it is, there is a high limit, that shuts the oven off it it overheats. When they go bad, they shut down at lower temps. Sounds like that might be your problem

I have a model MER5755QAS. Oven/broiler not working right.

Sounds like you may be getting only 110v to unit. After unplugging, Check for any burnt wires around terminal block or around elements. Also first check if breaker may have half way tripped. Cut breaker for stove all the way off and then back on. The bake element may have partially tripped the 220v breaker thus only sending 110v to unit.

Electric oven does not heat up enough

I had the same problem before the warranty expired. The heating element had exploded and there was white powder all over the inside of the oven. They replaced the heating element and it works as it should, however, this oven has never baked right. It gets hotter on the right hand side than it does the left and I have to constantly watch whatever I bake. I'm not very happy with this oven.
