I have a Samsung recorder, and it requires you to "finalize" the disc before it will play on another unit. Check your manual for specifics, or look in your menu for the "finalize disk" option. Hope this helps...
http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/0900000562/DC210NIM-EN.pdf here is the manual look on page 62 for playback on a pc. you need a dvdrom drive. if you have one make sure you have software like windows media player 10 or 11, or powerdvd to play the movie. as for editing the video is a little bit more tricky. you are going to have to "rip" the video and then combine it in a program like windows movie maker with the other dvd that has been ripped too. when you are done editing in windows movie maker just choose avi or dvd type.
try to use ULEAD MOVIE MAKER as you saving your videod. be sure you have driver for your device so that the computer will recognize it.if that camera has a memory card transfer it and use card reader to save it to your computer. hope that helps!
as for hardwarde youll need a usb or firewire but i prefer usb beause its easy to use. as for software youll need a driver and installed to recognize your device to the computer.youll need another software to edit your videos and save it whatever type of videos that you like. i prefer ulead movie maker because its user friendly and its easy to use, hope that helps1
Hi, Initially I had the same problem with the finalization process. But then i took off the battery pack and connected to the mains and immediately when i switched on the camcorder again, the ' Finalize ' button was highlighted i.e enabled. I continued with the finalization process and everything was fine. Was able to playback the mini dvd on a very cheap dvd player and also on a computer.
Also be sure to put the camcorder on play mode by sliding down the switch button to mode. You immediately notice that a little green button near play will light up
All you should have to do is finalize the disc. Put it in your DVD drive and select the scenes and photos. you need to have DVD playback software to play the disc also if its a DUAL layer disc you have to make sure the drive in your PC can play DL. Enjoy, Lee
You need to finalise the disc if you want to play it in a PC or home DVD player.
There should be an option to finalise the disc in the menu.
Hope that helps =)
Before you can transfer pictures or video from your Canon DC210 to your PC you need to finalise the disc in the camcorder.
You
also need to make sure that the DVD drive on your PC is capable of
reading a DVD-R, DVD-R DL or DVD-RW format as these are the only disk
formats that the DC210 will handle. Not all PC DVD drives can read
these formats.
To finalise the disk you must have the power
adapter connected to the
camera, plugged into a wall socket and turned on. Then, switch on the
camera, put it into playback mode, Press 'Func.', select main
menu, select 'disk operations', select 'finalise'. Don't move or shake
the camera or switch it off whilst the finalising step is
underway - this could cause problems.
Once finalising is complete, put the disk into the PC.
