Software for My new mp3 Player

My cd/dvd rom drive on my lap top is broken so I need to be able to Dowload the Software online or find a way to get it on my computer without using my Cd rom drive.

    The CD drive on my tower is broken, and so I can't install the software for my new mp3 player, a gogear digital audio player. I need software for it to download music, pictures, etc.

If you have cd then insert it to your computer friend then copy the driver/software into the flash drive(usb drive) after copying insert the flash drive to your laptop and then install the softwares of your new MP3.

its pretty if you tell me the model of your new MP3 player so that i can search it for you to download.

go to " device manager" and expand the dvd/cd rom drives. Select your dvd rom there and right click on it, then uninstall it. Then on top of the device manager options, click on "action" and click on scan for hardware changes. Wait for it to be detected again. You may need to have the driver for your dvd drive (usually its on the cd that came with the drive ) If you don't have then just dowload the driver from the internet.

My cd drive doesnt work anymore, it wont let me install programs, burn cds or dvds, but it plays some cds.
Alright I would say its something wrong with your laser in your CD-rom or something so i would say go to the store and buy a new DVD ROM DRIVE and just replace it with the one you have and ifits not working just let me know

it,s one of 2 things.
1:) your recording MP3 to CD. Only recognised on a PC, or MP3 Player. The standard CD Format Is WAV.
If you burn with Nero. you should have a tickbox Which Says ( Normalise all audio Files )
2:) the disk is not finalised. Closed having written the T.O.C Table-Of Contents. this is to allow the reader viewing it, what is actually written on the disk.

Dear FixYa,
Sorted the problem out myself. My cd/dvd player is still duff though!
I just connected up the camera to the my laptop and turned the camera power on. Up came the new hardware detected box and the rest is history. In no time at all the camera was talking to my lap top and I was able to download pictures from the camera to the lap top, very good pictures they are too.
