My 2004 Chevrolet cavalier right front headlight keeps blowing with a clicking noise under dash when I hit brakes unless headlights are on. What could be causing this to happen? thank you

Sounds like you have a electrical short in the brake light switch. Finding electrical issues can be a bit tricky but I would start with the under dash relay you hear clicking when you depress the brake pedal.

Brake lights on my 01 gmc sierra truck dont work but the tail lights, blinkers and emergency lights all work.

Could be the brake lamp switch is bad , stop lamp fuse 20 amp in under hood fuse box could be blown .Check the fuse ,if not blown check for B+ voltage at the brake switch , location - top of brake pedal under the dash . Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's using a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? Looking at a wiring diagram so you know which wires to test would be good too . Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? Free ones here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb Enter vehicle info. Year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on lighting ,then under subsystem click exterior lighting . Click the search button then the blue link. first diagram top left you will see the stop lamp switch . orange wire in is B+ voltage . Press the brake pedal while checking for B+ coming out on the white wire . No B+ coming out ,replace the switch . Will be other wires as well , other switch etc... check the right one .

I have a 2006 pacifica. I have no brake lights (left right). When I press the brake pedal, I hear a click sound coming from under the shifter area. Weird?

No not weird that clicking sound is your shift lock it's supposed to make that sound first check
Brake light fuse if that is good check brake light switch witch is mounted under the dash above the brake pedal somtimes they can unadjust them selves and the switch doesn't hit the pedal or it is just bad and if that's not the problem it's the module that you will have to take to a repair shop

Brake lights wont come on 1992 volvo gl

Check the brake switch its located above the brake pedal , when pedal is pressed down the switch opens allowing power to go thru the switch to the back brakes . You will see a little plastic stud comes out like a pen trigger in and out as you press and depress the brake pedal . Hope this help .

2001 blazer possible electrical issue

Start with a new brake light switch that is located along the brake pedal. It was a good call to relace the multifuction switch the light do go through that switch. Now to the door lock in order to turn on the radio. you have to hold it down when you are pressing the switch down and the radio turn so some one borrowed power to that circuit and that is our clue. This is all related. You may still have a aftermarket alarm that is still attach inspect and remove it if is installed.Look under the dash at the steering column

My 07 rio brake lights wont turn off

Under the dash, between the seat and the brake pedal is a switch. When the brake is released, it presses against the switch to turn off the brake lights. When the switch does not line up with or fails to connect with the pedal, the lights stay on until your battery dies, and it will.

Reach under the dash, check the switch and move it if it does not line up with the pedal. If it does line up but does not touch the pedal, twist the end of it until it does. The lights should go off.

Brake lights won't go out on a 1991 honda accord and it drains my battery. Is it a problem with the fuse or the electrical system?

Sounds like brake light switch is stuck. Follow brake pedal up under dash. There will be a electrical switch that sets on pedal. Dissconnect switch lights out. Replace switch.

1999 Lincoln towncar limo, outside lights

could be lighting control module $$$$$$$ @400
it's above brake pedal area under dash. 6 x 4" approx.
Do high beams work? Flash to pass work?

if it's the lighting control module, it will provide a fault code when dealer tests it with NGS testor.
