There is a message being displayed whenever i try to charge it, saying the battery cannot be charged, put in a sony ericcson charger..even after trying to charge it through a sony ericcson charger, the USB also doesn seem to do the trick...
does the battery needs to b changed or is it some problem with the phone..??

As per Sony, if you are getting this message, it's a concern.
This message usually appears, if you are using a Battery other than Sony's.Make sure you are using Original Sony's charger. Try to use some other Charger and Battery.
If problem persists, you need to send the unit for repair. More likely, it's a firmware issue. I have hardly seen any Charge / Battery issue.

My C905 needed charging, so I put it on overnight and it would not start in the morning - just a quick message saying phone will only work with a Sony Ericsson battery! Was told by Vodafone it is a software issue and to return the phone. So I started using an older Sony Ericsson handset and I cannot believe the same thing has happened. Now phoneless! Is this a common thing now with SE phones?
