Put battery in charger and red light just flashes. put battery in camera and nothing happens

Good Day, Try this first and let me know what happens later. Use something like a needle to scratch the terminals of the battery and put your ****** to the terminals to make it a little wet. Then put the battery back inside the phone without connecting the charger to the phone. Then after the red light comes on, connect the charger. the first suspect is your battery,which is running in low battery....kindly recharge the battery for few hours with the original charger,because the charging volt varies from battery to battery of the same brand and using this universal charger is definitely going to harm ur camera very worse,kindly go for the original charger and charge the battery and then put your camera on........

if still the problem is the same ,the problem is usually caused by virus and sometimes it might be software failure also, which causes some of the menu not to function,the only solution is to flash ur cam software from the nearest olympus service centre and it is going to be done free of cost,as your camera is under warranty .......

I have the same problem with my 770 SW. The funny thing is, some outlets in my house will allow it to charge, some will just make the light flash. I found your question looking for a better solution. Try all the outlets in your house with the charger, I know it sounds silly, but it works for me.

i have same camera.. but i dont think this is a problem.. while charging light keep flash.. when it completes charging it shows u solid red light..

I tried to do this with my LI-10C Olympus charger and it worked..The blinking red light turns to solid red..Thanks for the info...Now I won't be bothering to buy a new batt.or have my charger checked..

What model of camera? You will probably need to purchase different battery.
