My hp 3030 printers shows bulb warning up and make noise how can i solve it ?

several things can cause this what i would do first is completely uninstall the software and drivers.disconnect from the internet disable the anti virus and the firewall. then run a fresh install of the unit.on a percentage basis software problems cause this problem alot.
if this doesnt fix it youll probably need to do some routine maintinance cleaning on the scanner assembly. this will require the top of the unit to be removed, the ccd looks for a white strip on the underside of the glass this strip tells the carriage its reached home.
after the top is removed clean the underside of the glass then using a q-tip and alcohol clean the lamps and the mirrors in the ccd unit one of the mirrors can be cleaned from the top through the **** that runs the lenght of the ccd unit. the other one if you lift the ccd unit and tilt it up to the back of the amchine you can clean the mirror thats on the bottom. clean the guide bars and apply new grease to the slide track. then reasemble the unit.these 2 things cause about 90% of this kind of trouble.

Your scanner bulb is not warming up. It would cost more to repair it than buying a new printer.

Scroll down the page to locate each code that you mentioned. I suggest calling your fax number from a cell phone to see if the fax line is clean (doesn't have any noise or static other than the "handshake digital tones") If it does have other NOISE....have the phone company check your fax's phone line for troubles. Make sure that the paper size is set to letter, not legal. Check this on the printer and the computer printer software.

Buy a new Hp laserjet 3030

It sounds like a faulty toner cartridge.Try changing the cartridges and see if this solves the problem

Try ebay or some other site. Occasionally they show up. Otherwise you'll have to get it from HP.
