I have a Canon mx700, it will not turn on...had a power failure in the area in the last couple days...is plugged into a power bar, tried direct to the plug...any ideas??

Hi John,

Check if the led on adapter is on ( few adapters has power led light ) to indicate the adapter is working.

If the Adapter has light on it, your printer is damaged and it needs replacement/repair.

If the adapter light is off - You just need to replace the adapter

I have the Plug going to the wall and confirmed power at the outlet. I have the UBS back to the Computer and plugged into the printer and it will not turn on at all. Its a Year old at most and havent used...

I see a power supply issue here. Looks to me your printer power pack is gone bad. You need to confirm this by trying another similar power pack with the printer to be sure. If the printer is portable take it to the store or technical personnel to try another power pack with it. Once confirmed you may have it replaced.

YES. And the price of a new power supply is one third the price of a new printer. Canon are a rip-off!

Canon mx700 has a code 6502, what I have should?

code 6502 Please do the following:

1. With the printer unplug, remove the ink cart to the right ,
2. Plug in the printer
3 Press the POWER button and do not release the POWER button
4. Press the RESUME button twice in succession.
5. Now release the POWER button
6. Ppress the RESUME button 4 times.

The printer may beep. Unplugg the printer, reinstall ink and plug it back in. This should clear the issue.

Canon Pixma MX700:one print cartridge not working

The cartridge is only a tank that holds ink. The printhead is the device that you put it into and probably has a blockage in the magenta head. Open the machine so the carriage moves to the center. remove all the cartridges.
TCT How to remove and clean Canon Printhead see the link below. The MX700 may have the locking mechanism at the front of the carriage, so you should move it slightly right and then pull the colour bar forward to release the printhead. carefully remove the printhead. Sit it in a shallow dish/tray of hot water for a few minutes and dry with a paper towel. Put it back in the printer reset the locking bar and cartridges. Try a nozzle check through the tools menu. Yoyu may need to repeat the process if the magenta printhead is badly blocked

Ive got a pixma mx700 printer and im getting the 5c00 error how do i get rid of this

Error code 5C00 refers to possible paper jam or product needs reset or service.

It is possible that a previous paper jam has left a piece of paper inside the machine. If you cannot see any paper jammed at either input area, open the rear cover and look in there. Otherwise, you can try to reset the product:

Reset the printer:

1. Turn the printer off with the Power button

2. Disconnect the data cable from the printer

3. Unplug the printer's power cord for approximately 10 minutes, and then plug it back in. Attach data cable.

4. Turn the printer back on

If all of these suggestions fail, your MX700 may require repair service.

My epson c65 wont turn on at all. couple of days

Possible hardware failure, unfortunately.
Please disconnect the printer from all the devices connected to it. Plug it in directly to a working electrical outlet which means you have to bypass the surge protector. Turn it back on.
Please log on to epson.com. Go to drivers and support page and click on help me find a service center to the right of the page to find the local servicers near to your area.

My Canon MX700 won't turn on.

My Cannon MX700 just died the same way! It was plugged into a high-quality power-strip so I know that it did not get a bad electrical charge. All I know if that I got Verizon Fios a few days before the printer died (including the fax line that runs to the printer) so possibibly somehow an electrical charge came through the fax line and destroyed the machine?

Try removing the ink and printhead, turn printer off and then on. If printer asks you for the printhead, then ink, then you may have just gotten a working printer again. I hope this works.

Issue: The device does not power on

1. Disconnect the power cord and wait at least 5 minutes 2. Press the ON/OFF button to power on the multifunction device 3. Disconnect and Reconnect power cord or AC power adapter to the device and electrical source 4. Disconnect and reconnect the electrical cord to ensure a secure connection 5. The MX700 may require repair 6. Try a different electrical source / outlet

I absolutely NEVER post on these sites, but my canon mx 700 had a paper jam today and just SHUT DOWN on me. it took me two hours to figure out the solution

SOLUTION: Unplug the computer for five minutes. When you plug it back in, HOLD DOWN the power button on the printer BEFORE you plug it in. As you plug it in, keep holding down the power button.

I dont know why but that worked for me.
