Sony Handycam CCD-TRV68 Flashing No Tape and Eject Symbol

If it were worth repairing, as a Sony agent, I would replace all of the capacitors and clean up the board then reset the mechanism and test.
Probably too old being 2001 vintage.

560X Camcorder Handycam won't record or play

This behaviour is relaterd to tape reading / tape detection. You may have a dirty or worn-out head on the video heads drum.
You may try to use a cleaning tape in order to retrieve normal perfoming of your camcorder, BUT you should take care, as cleaning tapes are also abrasive tapes, and the amount of cleaning cycles a video head can support is limited.
Then it should be possible that after cleaning the result is nul or worse (I had this lately on an old Sony Camcorder, it was recording with much losses in the film, after using the cleaning tape it doesn't record any more).
All that means you may repair your camcorder with the cleaning tape, but you may finish it too, if the video heads are too old.

In any case take time to read the cleaning tape user manual, cleaning time is very short (10 seconds generally) and must'nt be overtaken.

Hope you would have the good result !

Sony ccd trv218e, recording & playing back does'nt work

I had that problem also and I found that using smaller tapes helped. I was using the 120 minute tapes, I think they may be too heavy.

Tape will not eject

If you open the eject thingy like normal then look for a small white plastic tap. its located right underneath the "start/stop" text you see on the back end of the camera (where the record-button is). You´ll need something like a small screwdriver or similar. Press it and and the tape ejects like normal. Worked for me. Saved me the repair bill :)

Tape wont play or eject.

i just read about this c:31:22 problem while looking for a solution to another problem I am having. Someone suggested removing the battery, switching the camera to the "camera" setting, and then turn it off, put the batter back in and it should work. Good luck.

Can not load any cassette even empty cassette holder can not be closed.

I had the same problem and solved it by removing the battery to allow the camera to reset. Worked fine after that.
