Need remote control code

For Magnavox MWD2206 combo vcr/dvd player to use on a Innovage jumbo remote control for my handicap stepson.
I googled and tried 041 but it did not work.

    code 041 does NOT work

    I have a gfm remote control, and the coils have rusted. I've tried using sandpaper to remove some of the corruption, but it didn't work. Do you have any other suggestions for me before I look for a replacement remote?

I found that on the back of the 2205 it said that the unit was made by Funai. I looked in the Innovage book and found that the codes for Funai DVD are 231 and 233. 233 worked on mine. Good luck.
