Try connecting ac adapter alone without the laptop, check if ac adapter light will stay green or blue.
try another power outlet using the ac adapter alone without the laptop check if the ac adapter light will stay as green or blue. if all fails replace ac adapter.

if ac adapter stays green or blue try connecting to the laptop without the batt, check if the ac adapter light will stay on, if yes then try connecting ac adapter to laptop with the batt plugin check if the light stays green. if not update the BIOS. if fails replace motherboard.

My laptop not charging

When you say it won't charge, does it charge at all?
1. It indicates that it is charging, but as soon as you unplug the charger the battery quickly or immediately indicates it is dead. If the laptop is off, the LED on the laptop shows it is charging but the battery is always dead,

Or: 2. It is as if you didn't have the charger plugged in. No light on the laptop at all when the charger is plugged in.

Possible solutions:
1. The battery has died and is no longer capable of taking a charge. An alternate explanation if you can't even get the laptop to turn on even though the laptop charge LED is on, is that the internal power supply that converts the incoming and battery voltage to all the voltages required has died.
Or: 2. The power connector inside the laptop is a common failure point. The solder joints break from various minor shocks over time. This is going to become more common with lead-free solder as it is more brittle. Less likely is that the charging circuit inside the laptop has failed.

Samsung N145 Plus battery charge failure

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

When I plug in the power cord to charge the battery, the light on the cord goes off. I tried several charges and they work. Can charged battery on another computer and place on the dead computer and it...

There's no fuse problem with that computer, try this first, Plug in the charger to an outlet don't plug it in the laptop, if the light on the charger turns on, then the charger is working try to plug it on the computer if the light on the charger goes out there's a problem with your motherboard. Contact the tech support for that so you can get that part replaced.
To double check try to use a known good charger if it works then you'll need another charger if not, Then contact your tech support for your dell make sure you still have a warrant.

Hope this helps!

Battery in Jeep Grand Cherokee dead this am and less than 1 year old. I have a Everstart 100 battery charger plugged in and on the car. How long does it take to charge the battery. The charger is plugged...

How many amps does this charger put out????
A small trickle charger will take forever to fully recharge a dead battery, you'll need to have a battery charger that can put out enough amps to properly charge a dead battery. To clarify, the chargers sold at Sears, the large square types on wheels are the best for charging dead batteries and they also have an amp meter telling you how much the battery is accepting. After you charge your battery, you should be around 12.5 volts to 12.7 volts. DO NOT OVER CHARGE!!!

Panasonic vx37

My old Panasonic Palmcorder IQ shows a red light in both switch positions-camera and VCR. Maybe yours has red for camera and green for VCR so you could tell them apart. I found that the Panasonic battery that came with the camera was the cheapest kind with the least charging time. I bought other batteries, they were good for a while, but now, many years later, they won' t hold a charge. Since I am only recording inside of my house, I have resorted to using the AC wall socket for power. I have to take the battery out of the camera. I found a power plug-in hole (like ones on cell phones) in the battery compartment. I also found one of these holes on my battery charger. My camera came with a double ended power plug. I plug one end into my camera and the other end into the battery charger. I plug the charger power cord into the wall outlet, and I have power to my older camera. Maybe you can find this double ended power cord at a store or on line.

Did you know that there are 2 kinds of batteries? Some have memories and others do not rely on a memory. The ones with memories have to be fully discharged or they will only charge a little, and keep charging less and less each time they are charged. The ones without the memory can be charged fully without being discharged fully. Check into battery information on line to get more information. Maybe you can get the non-memory kind.

Battery Charging light doesn't flash and battery doesn't charge

I have the same problem. Worked for 3 years and now the battery charges to green but goes dead immediately. I've changed batteries. Its the camera not the batteries. Works fine plugged in. Obviously the cameras are not charging the batteries. Canon must know but I cannot find a fix and warranty is over. I guess buying the expensive camera of the day isnt always assuring you of quality.
