Hi,
I saw your problem and thought I'd share a solution that I thought was silly but my camera was fixed in less than a minute!! hold the camera in your left hand and turn it on. With your right hand, tap the SONY LOGO below the screen a few times. At first the camera might shut off. Simply turn it back on and try again. A few firm taps with your fingers and the screen will turn back on!! I found this solution online and many people had the same wonderful results!
Good luck!
Frank

Hello
I solved this problem by turn the camera off, then apply pressure at the bottom right of the screen(with your finger), press kinda hard, and turn the camera ON while pressing, it should work.
Good luck
I have a Konica Minolta camera Dimage Z3 that was given to me so I dont have the manual I have the box and cords to it .The promblem is the screen is white it won't let you take pitures you can hear it taking the pics and it will flash but you can't see anything but a white screen. Does anyone know about this type of camera? Thanks so much!
Normally there are two reasons for the given problem.
1). Bad or defective CCD. and/or
2). shutter not working.
in
the first case the only solution is the replacement of the CCD. Please click HERE
And in
the later case sticking of shutter blade, non functioning of shutter
blade will cause the problem. This can be rectified by sending it to
some repairer.
ummm...im kinda having the same problem except mine is a black screen. if u find anything out about urs can u let me know please. [email protected] thanks
Oh my gosh this really works! Our screen went white, we hadn't dropped it or anything. The camera still worked fine but we just couldn't see what we were taking a picture of. We tried this solution and now we can see the picture through the screen perfectly. THANKS for posting this!
I have Fuji FinePix 2650 Digital camera with same problem. I can almost guarantee this is not a firmware problem. I went mountain biking a few months ago and take pictures. I take out camera and turn on. I get lines then white screen. I banged on camera and fixed it. Later a few weeks ago I turn it on and white screen. i beat this thing and get bad menu selection screen for a moment then white again. It takes pictures well and talk to computer no problem but no LCD picture. I thinking it is loose connection for LCD. Send it for repair or if you seek adventure try to fix it yourself!
