Ive had this problem before, when the ipod completely froze and i couldnt even turn it off or restart it. Firstly ensure that lock isnt on and if it isnt what i did was just left it until the battery ran flat and it turned itself off. Then charge it and it should work

I cant seem to be able to turn it on because i cant find the power botton.

Hello!

Many Mp3 players often times have no power button, or a On/Off button. Although they probably should, many companies allow buttons to play multi tasks in the ever increasing need to save space.

Most times, pressing the play button, or holding the play button (signified by a right facing triangle) is used to start the mp3 player.

Ipod's do not have a "on?off" button either, you can simply press any button to make it start. holding the play button will allow it to go into a power save mode and "shut down" as well.

There is often a "lock" button you may have to slide or press in order to get it to turn on. This button is there so to no accidentally turn on the mp3 player when you dont need it, and waste battery life.

Hope this helps!

Buttons don't work on ipod nano

Hi,
Had the same probs with 4th gen nano. Keys frozen. Reset it loads of times etc etc.
BUT I HAVE NOW FOUND A SOLUTION. !!!!!!!!!!
Use a very sharp knife or razer blade and make a small gap at the bottom, back. Between the white bottom plate and back of your ipod. While the knif is in you will notice the keys start working!!!! I used a small peice of a playing card and wedged it in the gap, up the back, only about 10mm. Its worked ever since!!!!! Hurray
PASS ON THE SOLUTION AS THIS IS A COMMON FAULT.
