You have to open your blackberry desktop manager software. goto synchronize, and then configure synchronize and then tell the desktop manager to sync with outlook for you contacts calendar and so forth. so from then on when you plug your bb into your pc and strat up desktop manager, when you choose to sync it will sync your bb with outlook.

Synchronization problems Desktop Manager and Outlook 2007

First, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software (5.0.1) from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues.

I just got a BlackBerry 8220 Flip Phone and synced with the Desktop software and Outlook 2007. It said that my contacts synced, but they are not appearing on my phone. Can anyone help?

Hello,

Open you Blackberry Desktop software and go to the synchronization Icon.
On the left side menu go to Configure Synchronization menu.
There you can find the option "Configure Synchronization settings for my desktop program".
Once there you can setup all necessary options.

I have BDM v5.01, Outlook 07 and the Bold 9000 device.

Everything works like a charm.

Hope it helped.

How to transfer contacts to blackberry from pc

you should go to blackberry's website and download the latest version of the blackberry desktop manager. download it and then goto synchronize and then configure sync. tell desktop manager to sync with outlook for contacts and calendar and then select sync and it will synchronize your pc and your bb.

if you use gmail, you can goto m.google.com/sync on your bb and then download google sync. goto your outlook and export your contacts as a .csv file and then import them into your gmail accont. when you login to the google sync app on your bb, it will then wirelessly sync your contacts on your bb with your gmail account.

Blackberry Curve & Outlook 2007

I've had a few clients with this issue. I have used these steps from RIM. Try it and see if it helps.

Here’s what you need to do:
1. Uninstall Desktop Manager
2. Remove any references on your registry and on your C drive program files and users to:
a. Blackberry
b. Pumatech
c. Research in Motion
d. RIM
e. Desktop Manager
3. Disable the UAC (User Accounts) on Control Panel-Users
4. Get a command prompt and type regsvr32 atl.dll (enter)
5. Reboot
6. Make sure that when you re-install you have absolutely no SpyBot, Virus, Spam guard or the like running.
7. Reinstall Desktop Manager (version 4.2 SP2)
8. If you get an “Error 1904….Lotus Notes…” Ignore it
9. After you do all this, it should work

Blackberry Curve & Outlook 2007

To get rid of the unknown error, you will need to uninstall the Blackberry Desktop software. When you do this, make sure that you have the uninstaller delete the user settings, too. Then reinstall Desktop Manager 4.3. See if that helps with the syncing, too. This solution solved the error problem for me, so I hope it will work for you.

If this does not solve the syncing problem, then post back here again and we'll look for another solution. Sometimes a .pst file repair will help.
