The plastic screen itself never gets dirty on the inside, unless a spider has taken up residence nearby. What you are likely experiencing is dust built up on the CRT lens and mirror - which would cause the picture to look dull with low contrast and brightness. If that is the case, you may find on your model that the screen either pulls out or that there is a wood piece at the bottom that is hiding some screws or maybe the speaker grill needs to be removed to expose said screws. Be gentle cleaning the mirror, as it is surface coated and could be scratched easily.

Front screen

Hi, much easier to access the front screens (there are 2 sandwiched together) by removing the top back cover, be prepared for lots of screws and when you get down to the last 2-3 screws get some help, on the inside of the back cover is a large mirror, some are made of mylar, do NOT clean or even touch a mylar mirror, the others are made of real glass and the back will be much heavier than you think (and very expensive if you break it)once the back is removed you should have access to the bug, good luck, video-tek

My Big Screen making a loud beeping noise!

The beeping noise is usually related to the Horizontal out put transistor or flyback being faulty or one of the coils are loose near the flyback. If you remove the rear cover without touching anything can you tell if the beeping is coming from the large transformer with the red wire coming out of the top or is it coming from a black transistor on a aluminum heat sink.

P52930bl RCA Projection 52" Remote problem

First thing you want to do with this set would be to unplug it for at least a 24 hour period. if that does not work, the remote sebsor could be defective. if you want to just replace the sensor and not trouble shoot the set, it should be located behind a plasit cover in the front of the set, or located inside the reflection area of the TV set. Differant models are located at differant positions. If you have no electronic experience, play it safe and call in a trained tech to assist you in this repair.
