Question about Vizio Televison & Video
Sorry to say that I don't have a solution to your problem; I just have the same exact issue. I called the tech staff at Vizio and was told that problem is on the "main" board and that the board would have to be replaced. Sounds like telling an auto mechanic that your car is leaking coolant and being told you'll need an engine swap! Sad. My TV's green banding will often go away after a protracted warmup and then work fine until I turn it off again. I'm convinced that it's problem is thermal in nature. This could mean that it has a heat sensitive IC, an intermittant cable or board component connection, or less likely, some software programming issue. (BTW, I run a small fan behind the VIZIO to help it run cooler since it's tucked into a media center.) The repair, if factory done, will probably cost as much as a new LCD TV during the Holiday sales. Sooner or later, I'm going to tear into mine and use a small heat gun and see if I can localize the problem. It's worth a shot, but I don't recommend this to anyone without electronics repair experience and lots of attention to safety!
