It's a inexpensive amp, and poorly made. the amplifier failed. you won't be able to fix it unless you open it up and happen to have a degree in electrical engineering, or have the schematics to that particular amp and access to the parts like the transistors/finals and power supply bits to replace the damaged parts. chances are you blew mosfet(s) in that case the amp is a paperweight.
Sorry for the bad news. I had a couple of Boss amps and after second one fried went with another brand. Ck out amps on Azon.
Hi,
Did you fix the problem?
I have a 2012 GT/CS showing p0300, p0301 and also for catalyst system as well.
I´ve replaced spark plugs, checked and cleaned injectors, coils are good and now I just have no ideia what else to do.
Any idea of how to fix that thing?!
Yes you can use the equalizer without an amplifier. That is what the high level speaker inputs are for. You simply take the positive and negative from a speaker and hook it up to the positive and negative high level speaker inputs on the equalizer.
Sounds like you are over working this amp for sure.. Upgrading your power wire & battery might help, check your gain level on your amp to. This is not the volume for the amp. Its to get both amp and the cd player on the same page... And most of all if your subs are wired up to .5 ohm stable, see if your amp do the same... My answer to this ?? Upgrade your amp, Boss audio was never a good company to me, but that is my opinon. Audiobahn set up all the way..
Hi, Some players are picky with certain cdrw/dvdrw discs. You might have to experiment with different brands/types for your discs. I used to have a cd player (teac) which would just refuse certain brands cd-r discs but play others just fine. I know it sounds odd, but once I noticed which ones work and which ones don't I never looked back. Also, have the "problematic" discs been recorded on just one recorder? Have you tried playing discs recorded on a different recorder? Also - I'm sure you've already tried it-it's always a good idea to clean the laser just in case. Hope this helps+ Good luck, Raf
it must be reversed polarity in coil voices of speakers check + - wires from amplifiers fit on coil voices of speakers try to get each speaker to 8 ohms wiring in serial the two coil voices n'd put in paralel both speakers in bridge mode output from amplifier to get most stable power ,
You can contact boss electronics or the amp retail store.. Most boss amps are sold at flea markets so they may not have direct access to the Manufacture. look at your amp and see if there is an 800 on it if not contact the place you bouht it for a phone #
I've got a boss 1600 watt 4 channel amp ,720rms watts. up for auction on ebay right now that would work great. brand new in box. check it out. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3984.m38.l1313&_nkw=boss+1600w+amp+4+channel+with+level+remote&_sacat=See-All-Categories
any amp will work with any speaker, you just need to make sure it is a mono amp if you are running 1 speaker and a stereo amp wither 2 or 4 channel if you are running 2 or 4 speakers, the ohm rating on the amp should match the speakers also, on the back of the speaker it has the ohm rating, most will be 8 ohm, but you still find some 4 ohm, depending on the speaker if it has a lot of throw (the in and out movement) you may want a higher wattage amp so you get clean sound, it is up to you.... if you are installing lower price amps to you may hear engine wine or noise while car is running so a grounde loop isolator installed on the system will remedy that... also with the amp the directions will tell you the ohm rating of the wire to use, follow that.... and keep the ground short and clean where ever you put it.. try not to go directly off the battery cause you will get a lot of noise... hope this helps..
You can use any brand but you need to be careful about how you connect the speakers....Say if theyre 8 ohms and you put 2 in parallel then they equal 4 ohms etc. If you put two 8 ohm in series they'll equal 16 ohms. I would go to EV's website for more on speaker connections
