Hello there okemo80.
Here's your geek-steer ...
1. Depress (and hold for a moment) the eject button located on the DVD face.
2. Select the problem CD/DVD item within "My Computer", then either:
3. Is CD/DVD device receiving power? It's yes if there's at least SOME activity on the small LED light on the CD/DVD device face during boot-up of the PC. If NOT:
4. Is the PC processing very heavy CPU, as indicated by either a process monitor like "Process Explorer", or PC's indicator light(s) (constant, or nearly so)? Try again after processing activity has diminished, or right after a fresh boot-up.
If all above fails, and you have a disk inside it, you'll have to use the manual eject mechanism that exists in all modern CD/DVD drives:
TIP: Many times the mechanism is recessed quite far behind the face plate, so make sure the object you use is long enough (i.e., straightene out that paper clip, then bend at right angle to assist with grip).
If problem persists:
Good luck, and please do post back to ...

When you push the "open" button, do you hear anything, such as the tray trying to open? Feel any motion? Are you getting any power to the unit?
