SOURCE: MP460 printer--problem w/ envelopes

You seem to have clogged nozzles/printhead. Take out cartridges, do a thorough clean down where cartridges sit, the printhead, even the roller as well. Run your printers own cleaning maintenance before you do it manually with cleaning solution. Problem should be gone when you reinsert cartridges. Don't froget to reset ink levels and cartridges. good luck!!!

SOURCE: Won't print a 4 x 6 print. Paper passes right through printer

Hi-

Double check on printer properties under printers and faxes if 4X6 is selected, then access printer properties as well on the application or program where you are printing the images by clicking File then print option. Make sure Epson is the default printer.

Keep us posted, thanks!

My blue ink is completely out, but i only have to print in black which is full, can i still print? i keep getting error messages.

The printer will keep telling you that the ink is out in the blue cartridge, but on most models this can be ignored/cancelled from the warning box you see and you may then be able to continue printing still in shades of black instead (unfortunately I don't have that same printer model with me at the moment - I have all the other models around in my work room).
If your printer does allow you to still use it despite running out of one colour then here is what to do to still be able to print (assuming your using Windows XP - it's about the same for most operating systems) :-
From the START menu, go to Printers & Faxes. Right-click on the C88 printer shown there, and select Printing Preferences. A dialogue box will show basic settings of your printer, click on the ADVANCED button usually at the bottom-right. On the bottom-left you should now see a selector for BLACK INK ONLY - make sure that is ticked, then click APPLY, then OK. The printer may now use just black to create various shades of grey instead of colours.
(this applies to all EPSON printers, and many others too when ran in Windows XP. Vista & Windows 7 may do it a slightly different way).

Booklet printing pages in wrong order.

I believe this is going to be a software issue. Do a print preview of the booklet first to see if they are showing up in the right order. If they are, then it is a printer issues and I really can't help you there, but it they aren't then you know it might be a software issue. Check you formatting on the document before you trying printing it again.

Epson LQ 590 Label Problems

Make sure the option for bidirectional printing is set correctly.

Try it both ways

Make sure you are not printing too far to the left or the right - the print head can hit the end of its run and lose its place.

Part of print is missing (far right or far left side),instead ver

Sounds like you have a torn/missed fixing film. look up over the fixing unit (the one that gets one) and try to find a gray tu, it should be complete, from left to right and not torn. no parts should be missing. if one border is like orange or missing then your problem is the fixing film.

Printing on a 3x5 card

sounds to me its software issue, the best way to do this is to go into your printer properties and check to see if it has selected 3x5 for print not 8 1/2 x 11

my wife has that problem all the time when shes trying to print pictures of the kids and ushally its due to not being setup on the printers properties you can also set it up from right here

if you go to file on the top menu here and then goto print from here we will be able to select the printer and goto the options on it and make sure the page is set for 3x5 make sure your printer is highlighted and then click on preferances and then look in there. I dont have a printer hooked upto my laptop right now so I cant give you any further steps but I know its in there.

let me know how you make out if I have to put a computer onto my laptop and give you more detail on this then I will

Printing Borderless at 42" width?

Set the roll size to 44 inch, set your left margin to 0 (in your preprint software), experiment. With margins set at 0, using Onyx Productionhouse 7.3, the 9800 will print approx 41.8 inch image on 42 inch roll 43.8 on 44, etc. This is considered borderless printing. No matter what size roll you tell the printer it has in it, it will print to about an eighth to a sixteenth of an inch short of the paper's actual edge (that's the left side of the roll paper coming out of the printer - the right side of the print). If you load, for example, a 36 inch roll, tell the printer its a 44 inch roll, and send a 40 inch wide print, with a left margin of 0 it will print around 35.8 inches, cutting off the image just before it would overprint and get ink on the machine (1/8 - 1/16inch before the edge of your 36 inch stock). It is possible that these tollerances will be different depending on what software you send your images with... hope this helps!

Cross printing

I'm not sure exactly what your issue is, but Epson printers should be well supported as far as drivers are concerned. Do you have the correct driver loaded? If you are trying to use a Tally driver with the Epson printer, this may not work right.

Also, when printing from Windows, some older printers print only in a single direction, from left to right, instead of bi-directional (left to right & right to left).

I've used a few different Epson dot matrix printers, and problems have been few.

Printing on 4x8 cards

There are two different ways to create a custom page size within the Epson printer driver on Windows 2000 or XP. The method you need to use will vary depending on what type of driver is installed.
CREATING A CUSTOM PAPER SIZE IN SERVER PROPERTIES
This method will create a new page size accessible by all printer drivers installed in Windows.
1. Open the PRINTERS (2000) or PRINTERS and FAXES (XP) window.
2. Click on FILE, then select SERVER PROPERTIES.
3. On the FORMS tab, place a check beside CREATE A NEW FORM.
4. Input a new name for the paper size. Enter the desired height and width, following the existing format (#.##in).
5. Click SAVE or SAVE FORM to add the new form size to the list, then close SERVER PROPERTIES.
6. Right click on the printer name and left click PRINTING PREFERENCES.
7. Look for PAPER SIZE. (Depending on the driver in use, this will be found on the MAIN tab, the PAPER tab, or under the ADVANCED button). Select your custom paper size from the list.
8. Click APPLY to save this setting, or OK in Windows XP.
NOTE: If your new custom size is not available on the list of preset paper sizes, it indicates that the new size is either too large or too small for the driver in use.
CREATING A CUSTOM PAPER SIZE WITHIN THE EPSON DRIVER
This method will create a custom size within the Epson printer driver only.
1. Open the PRINTERS (2000) or PRINTERS AND FAXES (XP) window.
2. Right click your Epson printer name and left click PRINTING PREFERENCES.
3. On the MAIN or PAPER tab, select USER DEFINED from the PAPER SIZE drop down box.
4. Enter the new custom size and give it a name. Click SAVE to save the new size and OK to return to MAIN.
5. Click APPLY to save the changes (OK in Windows XP).
