Exposure lamp is burned out or the board the operates it is or both. The exposure lamp is the very bright light hat comes on when you make a copy under the the big sheet of glass. Raise the document feeder up and press start button does the bright lite come on and scanner move?
Try to reset. power off the machine, remove the top rear cover. Find the main circuit board now turn on the machine wait for code to show up and press the small black button on board lower right. if the code comes back try below parts.
Open the paper drawer and switch the green button which is located towards the back of the paper drawer on your left. My copier does this everytime I add paper.
Have you replaced the toner lately? I beleiv it is a toner motor fail to turn, check the toner bottle, remove it and reinstall the bottle.
Close up the machine and try it again.
Do you have two trays or four trays for the paper? If you have four and the display is showing the bottom door is open... turn the copier off and disconnect the bottom two trays and turn it back on..... Just use the top two paper trays.. Or the problem is that a acturator is broken off the side door, look for any broken pieces of plastic. Also, recheck for any jamed paper left in the copier.Good Luck
I have a Konica Minolta CSPRO EP1054 (in the Middle East)
I accidentally plugged the EP1054 copier into a 110V outlet instead of
the 220V. Immediately the malfunction code (error code) of "C05"
appeared along with the "Call Tec Rep" indicator light (wrench).
I followed the instructions posted by "Soul Visitor" ... i.e., I found
the "Trouble Reset Switch" (not shown in the user manual) by opening
the upper back panel and pressing the small black button in the lower
right hand corner of the middle circuit board (green).
