If your in a restore loop in itunes, where it always says you need to restore the iphone. I would restore from another CPU or make an appointment at the Genesis bar to restore .

This will tell you a lot if you get the same error on 2 different computers then you iphone needs service

There is no unlock codes, this phone is locked to AT&T, the only way you can get around it is to use redsnow which will jailbreak and allow you to also unlock the carrier on the device.

ok you need to speak to the god of iphone's and tell him you problem he is the god at iphone problems he fixed mine and i coudnt even get it to turn on and now it works again. he even offers to help fix your iphone via remote access (connecting to your iphone via the internet and controling your comp) thats what he did to fix mine you can find him here click here just tell him whats wrong and he will help you.

Yes it can be fixed what you will have to do is restore the iPhone 3G by doing that you will have to connect your iphone to your computer and iTunes will open then under devices pick your iPhone and you will see the restore button in grey click it and presto.
