Barco elm r18 prism problem

Thanks for the reply. We have decided to start looking for used elm r18s for spares and parts. Barco has told me that the prism's are not made anymore and they can't be repaired. Do you know of anyone with some Barco elm r18's?

The short answer is, No. I have dealt with Barco tech support on a number of occasions even before they got rid of all of their dealer status'. It takes forever and it's expensive as all heck. There was one dealer in town and near the end of their dealer status, they were calling "me" to ask how to deal with Barco. Anyway, the issue could either be the block or more than likely the polarizer. I just sent an R10 to Barco last week after looking locally myself. Unfortunately, my suggestion is to send it in to Barco. Be prepared to have something take it's place for at least a month. Oh, the repair will be no less than $5,000 more than likely.
