I bought a new compactFlash Card for my Fuji Camera and i am getting a error message "card not initalized". how do I initalize this card and make it work?
Is the card larger than 2GB.
If so its too big for the S7000.
The only solution to more capacity is 2GB xd card + 2GB compact flash card.
Or just use as many XD cards as you need.

Sometimes the camera makers forget to explain that "initialized" means the same as "formatting".
Look up "formating" in your camera manual (also available as a download from www.fujifilmusa.com
You may need to format the card. There should be a Format command in the Setup menu. To be more specific, one would need to know which model of Finepix camera you refer to.
Are you using the camera to format the card ? I had a similar problem with a 3V 16MB card in my Fuji MX1200. I used the "Format" capability, oddly located in the "Trashcan"/erase mode, but it "initialized"/formatted the card with no problems or error messages after that. Hopefully you have a similar format function on your camera. The URL I'm referencing here is for the MX-1200, but you may find your camera elsewhere on this excellent site (not mine).
It is possible that the largest card this camera will accept is 256MB. Check your manual to be certain. At 3.2MP this will store up to almost 300 images so it should be of ample size. Regarding the next question, I don't believe it is possible to lock an Xd memory card. The writhe error is likely due to the above or damage to the card or the card port on the camera.
