I bought my son a blackberry curve 8250 a few days ago. I cannot send any files to his new phone via bluetooth, even though the phones do pair with each other. Please help!

When you send over bluetooth on a blackberry and the handset pairs you need to select the file type you are send and be in the folder to received. Once in that folder you need to click the blackberry key and select received via bluetooth.

My blackberry bold 9700 bluetooth is not compatible with my laptop windows vista sp1. I am unable to transfer my pictures or music files to my blackberry via bluetooth. how do i solve this problem?

you have to select the option "receive via bluetooth" to be able to receive files to your phone. this can be done when you are in the media folder. press the menu button, then select "receive via bluetooth" when sending files from your pc/other phones.

I can use my bluetooth when sending something out to another phone BUT CANNOT receive anything back via bluetooth

only two possibilities
1. You must have selected invisible to others in bluetooth option. kindly de-select it.
2. The path where the files are saved must be your phone memory which would be less thats why unable to receive bigger files try to receive smaller one if you get it then change the destination to your memory card.

I can't receive files via bluetooth on my Blackberry Bold

When you want to receive a bluetooth file do the following:

1. Go to Media.
2. Hit the menu key (left of trackball) and select Explore.
3. Browse to the folder you want to store the file in.
5. Hit Menu key again and select "receive using bluetooth."
6. Send from the other phone.

You'll have to do this for each file individually.

unfortunately you cannot send address contacts via bluetooth with the blackberry.
you can send media files
go to the media folder you want to receive into and click the menu button and select "receive via bluetooth." Then send the file from the other phone. You have to do this for each file you send.

Good Luck and thanks for using FixYa
