There is usually a hours lamp counter somewhere in the menu. When you push your luck, the lamp use too much, then draw much more current, then after a while the ballast broke and it cost around 4-500$. (when there available). Let us know if you find the hour counter!

What is the solution to the blinking green light and welcome screen then tv shuts itself off

I recently had this problem on my model as well, though it was lessthan a year old. The method that worked for me is to update thefirmware of the TV itself; you can download the new software, with complete instructions on how to update your TV at http://support.mitsubishi-tv.com/documents/WD-60C9
After doing this, my set started working again.
Do not replace your lamp. the light will blink red for a bad lamp, not green.

I am having issue with my TV it won't turn on and I have a flashing red status light keep flashing can anyone help

Hi, if your tv is between 1-4 yrs old and havent replaced the lamp it might be time to do so.Mitsubishis uses Osram lamps to light up the screen and tend to last from 3000-4000 hrs normally 1-3 yrs.The Red light indicator usually indicates its time to replace the lamp.Heres the lamp you would need http://www.discount-merchant.com/Mitsubhishi-915P027010-915P027A10-Replacement-p/mitsubishi-915p027010-lamp.htm?1=1&CartID=0 On the same link it shows you how to replace it ,have a blessed day.

Picture is very dark

its probably the lamp going bad. dark picture is a pre-cursor to failure. these lamps are supposed to last 2-4 years but for some reason the mitsubishi ones never do. you can replace the lamp yourself, and if it is going bad, you can cool it down, pull it out, and you will see it will look kind of bulged or white in the bulb part. instructions are in your user manual. if it is under a year old, mitsubishi should still cover it. if its just over a year, you can try to call them and complain and maybe they'll back it up. let me know if you need further assistance.

I have Mitsubishi WD-Y57 DLP. Replaced lamp and now green timer comes on for a minute or so and then turns off. TV will not come on?? HELP!

I have the same TV. Mine is almost 3 years old. From what I've learned you should try to reset the TV. There is a small button in the front input compartment. Use a pen to push that in and wait for the green light to stop blinking. Then try the TV.
If that does not work you probably need a new lamp. Apparently the lamps only last for a couple years on average. Having to replace them can really add to the cost of buying/owning one of these TV's

TV will not power on, strange arcing and poping noise from rear

Even though the Lamp looks good it does not mean that it is. The only way to know is to relace it. If you have already replaced it with a Mitsubishi Lamp Assy. then the Ballast board would probably be the cause.
Hope this helps,
