V705 not working due to plugging in a 9v charger.

I mistakenly plugged a 9v power supply into my v705 (for 5 seconds at most) and now it will no longer turn on.

:(

However it still will charge the battery.

(Expensive battery charger!)
Can this be fixed?

The battery may be fine. but I think you might have fried the internal power port on the camera. Best bet is to see if Kodak can replace it or fix it for you. You will need replacement parts for this problem

You are likely up the proverbial creek without your paddle.

If the magic smoke (usually blue or grey) came out of the camera (how *did* you know that it was the wrong plug?), then there are expensive and tiny electronic components that are now just plastic and sand.

Kodak might be able to fix it, but your best bet is probably to buy a used one off of your local CraigsList (you can see it work in person) or off of ebay.

Hi Stacey
How to charge "what model" Cell Phone

iPhone & others usually charge from the USB cable that it comes with.
Plug into any USB port (5v DC)
Some chargers supply more current which can give a faster charge. iPad chargers supply 2A where as iPhone chargers are 1A

My kindle won t turn on

Her is a possible solution:
1. Plug into the original charger, hold the power down for a full 30 seconds, release. Let charge in this state for 12 hours.
2. Lease the device plugged into the charger, while you have the device plugged into power, press the power button for a full 40 seconds, release. Wait for 5 seconds and then press and release the power button. Did the device wake up? No, continue to step 3.
3. Plug the device into another charger, if you do not have an charger from another phone go to Staples or Radio Shack pick up a new Kindle or Universal charger, make sure you can return the charger.
4. Plug the Kindle into the new or alternate charger. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds release. Let charge for 12 full hours.
5. Unplug the Kindle from the charger.
6. Press the power button for 40 seconds - time it. Release the power button, wait for 5 seconds, then press and release the power button. The Kindle should wake up. If not, proceed to step 7.
7. If you can not wake up the Kindle from a 'hard reset' the Contact Amazon directly for a replacement.

My Nextbook wont turn on

Although it is not recommended for normal operation, try turning it on with the charger plugged in. If this works, check the battery status indicator. If it shows a full charge, try disconnecting the charger. If the Nextbook quits working, the battery is bad.
If it does not turn on, try holding the power button for five seconds, then while holding the power button on, plug in the charger and continue holding for five seconds. If nothing happens, release and press the power button again with the charger still plugged in. (This may reset the internal power management chip.) Also, try the recessed reset switch (see your owner's manual).
If none of this works, verify that the charger unit is good. The simplest and safest method is to measure the output voltage on the output plug with a digital multi-meter while the charger is plugged into an AC outlet. It should be within 5% of the nominal output voltage on the charger label.
The most common power problems are battery failure, broken charger wire (usually next to the plug or the power conversion box), or broken charger jack in the unit.

David Are you leaving the power on while you are charging the Chair? If you are try charging with power off at the joystick. The manufacturers of all power batteries do not recommend charging with automotive chargers. I would try to locate a friend or neighbor that also has a chair or scooter and borrowing their charger for a few hours to see if it will charge your chair. If not contact your provider and borrow a charger from them. If the different charger works then yours is bad. You shoud be able to order a charger through your provider or by calling Pride Mobility @ 1-800-800-8586 Hope this helps you PS I didn't say you couldn't use the "other" charger. But I wouldn't want you to think I approved of it

Wont turn on light just flash back and forth on speed setting

gilly your controller still thinks you are charging the chair. This error is a charger inhibit error which means that when you have the charger plugged in you can't drive the chair. If your charger is not plugged into the chair then you have a problem that needs to looked at by your provider where you got the chair or by a tech Sorry I don't have a quick fix Hope this helps you

Why would the plug melt on an Acer 5315?

Plugs melt when the connections 'short circuit'.
This means the positive and negative energy paths are touching.
Even the smallest AAA or 9V battery will get really warm if your connect the terminals together, and the power supply of a laptop computer pushes more more power (amps) than a little battery.
If it is indeed the power connection of your laptop has some melting damage, I must recommend you have your laptop and its power supply serviced or replaced, and to not plug it into the wall until you do. Fires have started by malfunctioning/damaged cameras and computers.

I hope that helps.
