Computer wont turn on, beeps with ram removed

Out of the blue my sony pc will not start anymore, nothing at all shows on the monitor, but the fans spin at maximum and the lights go on.

I've tried reseating all the hardware and resetting the BIOS with no luck, but now I've removed the ram and it is beeping (does this mean the mother board is still working?) Also I unplugged the hdd and the same thing happened when I tried to start the computer.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Plug everything back in and power up the pc when it gets to the error beeps count them then if you can check online at http://networking.ringofsaturn.com/PC/beep.php for a clue as to what the problem will be.

Three beeps means there has been a base memory read/write test error. Replacing the RAM usually solves this AMI beep code.

The computer should beep ONCE when starting-up.
More than one BEEP implies either that the video-card is not responding, or that it is not fully "seated" in its slot.

Try a different video-card in your desktop.

The computer should beep ONCE when starting-up.
More than one BEEP implies either that the video-card is not responding, or that it is not fully "seated" in its slot, or that the video-cable is not tightly connected.

Try a different video-card in your desktop.

beep noise indicates that the RAM is not detected.... TURN OFF computer....remove power supply....open the cabinet and remove the RAM.... clean it using a soft non-moist cloth...plug it back.... your computer will start... still if it is not starting, then the RAM might have gone faulty, try to check with other RAM.....

Unplug the tower

Remove the ram and turn the tower on wait till it give you fast beeps. (telling you no RAM)

once that happens shut the system down by unplugging it again

Re-install your RAM and try to boot again
