If the receiver has inputs you can use a male rca's to a 1/8 stereo jack. It should fit the ipod on the headphone side and you can use it through the stereo.

I cant get my i-pod to work in my Peavey Mixer

You should get a interface cable from apple. The apple has a smart output and if the cable is not correct it will not work properly. See your local apple dealer, there are several cables depending on what your connecting.

My marine stereo doesn't work anymore...Can I hook up my i pod to my pontoon boat speakers?

Yes, but not directly... the I pod will not have enough power to run the speakers...you will still need to have a radio or other way of powering the speakers and then feed the I pod into that...

How do i hook an i-pod to my denon-AVR3801. Headphone jack? If so what function?

I'm assuming you want to play your i-pod through your reciever? If so, you need a male stereo mini to dual male RCA Y-cable (follow the link at the bottom for an example). The mini end goes into your i-pod. Plug both RCA's into the CD or PHONO inputs on the left side, center, as you face the rear of your reciever. Left(L) is usually white or grey and right(R) is the other color, usually red or orange.

I hope this gets you started. Ask again if you have more questions.

Usb Trouble

The USB ports all share a single power source. It may be that the Ipod being added overloads the connections.

You might want to consider purchasing a USB hub, but make sure you get one with a Power Adapter to boost the current to your devices.
