- May be surface of charge roller scratched or dirty by toner powder.

- May be surface of developing roller has scratched.

- Disable toner save by change in printer driver.
- Toner refill toner cartridge Canon IRC-4580 and reset toner cartridge chip (replace new chip) or replace new genuine toner cartridge.
- Replace the OPC drum.

- After printer is power on, wait 30 minutes then start printing
- Clean up the contact between the high voltage terminal in the HVPS and the one in the se- Replace the new HVPS if the problems are not solved by 4 away above.

- Replace transfer roller
- If performed 2 away and the error does not clear, you should replace ganuine toner cartridge .
- Replacce HVPS board.

clean the drum of the toner with tissue paper and reinstall hopefully it will resolve the issue

Possibile solutions

1) Complete cleaning using copressed air or lint free cloth
2) check the cleaning blade on your drum (Round Glass cylinder)3) Change your drum unit
4) replace rollers

While printing?.. Cartridge faulty, Check with another cartridge..
While copying in ADF?.. Clean flat bed both glass

problem in drum charger clean it OR developer unit clean

Remove cartridge observe on cartridge drum finds any vertical toner line? replace cartridge, as well as check all cartridges same manner...if found replace them..If its only on copying: clean flat bed both glasses..with glass cleaner..

Vertical black lines:Check with another cartridge..Check Teflon sleeve.Vertical white lines:Replace cartridge.. replace transfer roller..Clean laser scanner unit( technical skills required) Horizontal Black lines:Replace cartridge..

try cleaning the rollers with water in the feeder at the top check the glass too too see if it's dirty

I was getting a verticle black line and I had to clean the glass, the long white bar above the glass, and the white and black rollers before my problem was solved.

Not sure if this will help but there is a small glass panel to the left of your flatbed scanner- this must be clean or else I get a black vertical line in my printing.
