Hello,

please try to unplug your TV for an hour. Then plug in the set and the picture should be OK.

Best regards,

    Hello
Check its CRT base connecting socket. If the Focus pin do not get proper connection, this type of fault can occur. Replace the CRT base coonector socket, which can be located on the base card, directly soldered on to. You can desolder it out from the baord, and can insert a neq one in place, and solder. This is not a very skilled job. If you are handy, and have desoldering and soldering equipments, you can do this work by yourself at home.
The suggested part, can be bought from most of the electronic spare part selling shops at your town.

Rainbow colours

This will either be a purity fault or as this is an old TV the tube (CRT) will be at fault which would not be worth spending money on. You would need to call a service engineer to check if it is a purity fault, but as this is a quick an easy repair it should only cost a call out charge. You would not be able to fix this yourself as a special tool (de-gauss coil) is required.

Bush tv has a circle on screen like looking thru a telescope

HELLO

Funnily enough I have been given a 21 inch standard Bush set with the same problem!

It's a DEGAUSSING fault. This means the deguss circuit in the TV is not operating as it should - probably a faulty positor. When you switch the TV on (NOT FROM STANDBY) the circuit that removes magnetism from the screen does not work correctly.

Switch it off, unplug the set from the mains for 30 minutes or so and try it again. If there is no change, contact a TV repair centre.

Make sure there are no hifi loudspeakers next to the TV or a radiator as this can have an effect too.

ALL THE BEST! (:-)

Tv rainbow in screen

The picture tube has become magnetized, possibly by someone getting a magnet to close to it. You can de-magnetize it using a strong magnet (cow magnet or similar). Place the magnet as close the the screen as possible without touching it to the screen. Starting at the middle of the screen and slowly (not too slow, about one full circle per second should do) move the magnet in a circular motion. With each full circle move the magent twards the outside (making a larger circle) as well as moving it farther away from the screen. Using a magnet will not harm the screen, so play with it and you'll soon get the feel and will see what you need to do.
Tv's have a circuit built in to 'Degauss' (demagnetize) the screen each time you turn it on, but this will only work if the set is 'Cold'. If the set is left off for 2 hours (to cool doen) and does not demagnetize when you turn it on the circuit is faulty.
