You are overcomplicating it... all you need is a compact flash card big enough for the firmware... then you upload the firmware to the card and stick the card into the printer... but first power down printer and plug it out and then turn it on and follow the display... it will prompt you

here is the steps...

you will see ready
then press menu... arrow down to memory card
press forward arrow
you will see format
press enter
you will see processing
when its finished
you will see ready...
turn off machine... unplug it...
pull out compact flash
plug machine in
turn it on...

the **** for the compac flash is on the right hand side at the bottom by the ventillation opening...

I changed the blue toner and now it prints with the backgroud blue on every page over what I was printing. It's a Kyocera FS-C5030N

I think that you have used the lens cleaner and then have not pushed it all the way back in.

KYOCERA FS C5030N PRINTS ONLY THE FIRST PAGE OF A PDF DOCUMENT. IT SPOOLS THE # OF PAGES IN THE DOCUMENT BUT ONLY PRINTS THE FIRST PAGE.

make sure you are using the KX PRINTER DRIVER first
if so..
tray changing the pdl format
in the printers and faxes area right click on your printer
right click go to properties.
click on device settings tab (you have this if you are using the KX driver)llhopefully you are
you will see a button (pdl) click on pdl
changed pdl to pcl5e

Kyocera FS c5030n paper comes from the from back rollers not the top

close the back cover... or if its broken tape it down...

Printer will only print page 1 of multiple page documents

1. Check that you are using the latest print driver - from kyocera website.
2. If the issue is when you print pdf files then make sure you set the printer in KPDL Auto mode - check the print driver settings about this and the printer menu.
3.You may check if you have the latest firmware installed within the printer - print a service status page (Menu->Others->Service).
