Flash My flash all of a sudden does not work. No matter what I do. I forced it to flash and it does not flash. I re-inizialized like someone said and still does not work. Any help. Thanks.

The flash may be broken.
If not these are the flash settings on the camera in case a different flash mode has been set accidently.

Set the mode dial to [camera icon], and press [up arrow] on the control button repeatedly to select a flash mode.

The flash mode has the following features.
No indicator (Auto):
The camera decides to use the flash based on lighting
conditions. The flash will be used when
there is not enough light or when shooting a
subject against a light source.

(Forced flash):
The flash will be used regardless of the amount of ambient light.

(Slow synchro):
The flash will be used regardless of the amount of ambient
light. In this mode, the shutter speed is
slower under dark conditions, so you can
clearly shoot a background that is out of the flash-lit area.

(No flash):
The flash will not be used.

try re-flashing firmware or upgrading firmware.

to me it seems someone sat on it. Your keyboard might be fried or may be still alive. You need to push each and every key forcely and release in flash or you may need to open it up and then check the status. The keyboard is the prob as of now.

You camera may be in 'auto'flash' mode, meaning the camera decides if the flash is necessary, depending on the lighting situatioin. Try your flash setting on forced flash instead of automatic, or try it in the dark to see if the flash goes off.

Turn the setting to M or manual, and push the flash open. You will have to set the camera settings yourself though.

There are two possible solutions
First you can use the system restore and pick the date prior to the issue. Then complete the system restore.
Second option is installing the related utility Called Launch Manager you can choose your model and OS then you can download/install the said application below

Not that I've ever heard of, Usually that kind of issue is caused by blunt force trauma to the lid of your laptop......

If the settings was correct, force flash or autoflash, and while pressing shutter button halfway the flash indicator lit, and firing the shutter no flash(not firing). then flash assy is defective, and needs replacement. thanks

Hello, in order to repair the camera you should replace flash unit pn:147834911 or board pn:A7113088A. If you need more info please advice.
