first confirm the battery is in properly. then your charger should have an output equal to your battery power, e.g. if the battery is 3.6 v make sure your charger is at least putting out that. make sure the contacts on your charger are making contact on your radio.
When you say you can't cahrge it, do you mean on your PC, PS3 or with the charger? I don't think the PS3 charges the PSP, I have no idea about the PC, but if the PSP doesn't charge using it's charger, it is either the battery, the charger, or the psp charger outlet. If it is the battery, buy a new one. If it is the charger outlet, it is a good idea to have 2 working batteries and to buy an external charger at game crazy, game stop, or from sony. This way, you can switch out batteries while playing, like me :). If it is the charger, buy a new one.
I would suggest first trying to buy a new battery. If it works, you are good to go and your old battery was broken, otherwise your charger/ charger outlet is broken. Buy an external charger. Then, you will be able to charge the batteries while one is in the PSP.
A new battery and an external charger cost about $70, but it is worth it. I hope i helped.
I advise you to buy a charger with the current and voltage ratings
provided on the battery with the USB output and connect the phone with the data
cable to get it charged.Or you can directly connect to the computer to get it charged.
you can buy new chargers at game shops they aren't very expensive and if you happen to find your other one you'll always have a spare.... i have 5 thanks to my son lol
