I have installed; uninstalled and reinstalled software for Lexmark 1200 series all in one printer and everything seems ok until I try to print and I am told my commuter can't communicate with the printer. I followed directions to correct this problem to no avail. Can you assist me?

I recommend not to plug the printer to your computer yet. Try uninstalling by clicking on the Windows logo Start menu > All Programs/ Programs > Lexmark 1200 Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. Then restart pc. To reinstall, I suggest you use the updated driver from the Lexmark website. Here's the link: http://bit.ly/9Xw7bN. Choose the correct driver compatible with your computer's operating system. Download and install the software. Follow the instructions. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.
I fixed this by completely uninstalling the Lexmark software, then unplugging the USB and restarting. I then installed the new Lexmark software that I downloaded from their site, make sure not to plug the USB back in until it told me to. It then detected the printer properly and started working.
-check your firewall, it might be blocking your printer or your network -check also if the correct port is detected, just go to your printer and faxes and right click on your lexmark printer and click on properties, then under ports tab check your lexmark network port.
Uninstall the printer from the system (Control Panel > Printers, right click the printer and remove it). Then go to lexmark's website to download the most updated drivers.
Yes there are drivers for the Lexmark 1200 series available on the Lexmark.com Website. If you upgraded your PC to Vista or installed the drivers from CD you should uninstall the printer drivers and download and install the Vista drivers .
