Stuck on blue screen

My wife accidentally hit the buttons on the remote and now it says: First Please connect all signals and antennas to jacks and terminal on the back of the TV. Then press the CHannel UP key. the tv is used for DVDs and PS3. i've tried letting it sit on the screen for an hour and i still have the same blue screen. i tried unplugging it too hoping that it would reset to regular state, but nothing seems to be working.

I have had the same problem. what I did was turn on my Wii (in my case), and then let it run, it picked up on the Wii and returned it to the regular black screen. I then just used the input button on my remote to switch it back to where I needed it.

Hi:
Using remote locate a button called tv/video or Input, turn on the DVD player and hit this button until you see your DVD player Logo. Most dvd players use either video 1 or 2, or componet or HDMI outputs. Seems you have changed the TV's input back to TV mode and you need to change it to a video mode input.

NO PICTURE

Refer to the manual (free download here). Generally, a blue screen indicates a very low or non-existent signal. This can happen when the antenna is unable to gather enough of a signal from a particular broadcaster, or if an A/V input is selected, but the A/V device is not on or providing a signal. Since you are not seeing channel information when tuning, I suspect that the television is set to display an A/V input instead of the internal tuner.

With a working remote, locate the TV/AV button on the lower left (manual page 3 - item 8). When this button is pressed, you can choose to display signals on the ANT, VIDEO1, VIDEO2 or COMPONENT jacks. The ANT selection chooses the input on the RF jack such as an antenna or cable TV (with or without converter box). If using a cable box, the TV tuner should be set to Ch3 or Ch4 as determined by your cable box. Otherwise, select the VIDEO1, VIDEO2 or COMPONENT input that has the source signals you wish to watch from a cable box, DVD player, etc. that is connected to the rear input jacks. Page 7 of the manual details the connection and remote operation.

I hope this helps!

Model ds31520. I've had it for years working like this: no antenna, no cable, just DVD (connected to non-S input ports) watching movies. Somehow I hit a button sequence on the remote and now only this: ...

Sorters -

Re-connect to me on the chat and we'll get this sorted. I'm really sorry - I got disconnected and the system would not allow me to reconnect to you. I have some ideas but chat would be easiest. If you don't want to chat, post a message here and I'll message back with some things to try.

TV stuck on blue video screen

This usually happens when you are on a source that doesn't have a signal such as a channel with no signal or an AV input that is not connected.

You should look for a button that has TV/VCR or TV/VIDEO on it. I've guessing that you've already tried to change the channel but if not try that.

Last ditch effort in that case may be to unplug the TV for a few secouds. Warning- this may wipe out any settings you have entered such as the channel programming (which channels to skip while surfing) but along with that goes the blue screen.

Was an auxillary input accidently selected? Try selecting inputs to see if this straightens it out. What model set do you have?

Sony tv problem

If you are connecting the dish receiver to the standard antenna jack (F connector) on the TV, then the TV must be in TV mode and tuned to channel 3. If you accidently change to another channel then you will get the "no signal" message. If this is the case then simply put the TV back on channel 3. If you are using the RCA jacks (red, white yellow) to connect the dish receiver to the TV, then the TV must be in the VIDEO mode to work properly. If you accidently put the TV in the TV mode, you will get the "no signal" message. If this is the case then simply press the TV/VIDEO button.

Tv not working

Can you confirm that you didn't have any input signal? My wife once accidentally pressed the reset button on the remote and the TV was stuck in this state. I tried to hook up an antenna to the digital antenna input and let the TV search for a channel. It did find a station and got out of the channel search mode, which was all I needed. Then, I unhook the antenna and continued to enjoy my DVD movie. I didn't check the manual. So, it's possible that there is a better solution. My TV was working fine and I think it just has a terrible user interface. I'm not sure about your TV's condition, though.

I need help now

Have you tried turning your cable box off, given it 3 minutes then turn it back on. We have Time Warner Cable and their remote has the tv and cable buttons at the top right of it and sometimes that helps. Good luck
