My xbox360 has one red ring - Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

there are many different kind of "red rings"

If they are all red, it means that your av cable isnt being detected
if there are 3 red, its a hardware failure
2 means that your system is overheating

The three red lights mean that your XBOX360 is experiencing hardware failure. This is caused by overheating of your XBOX. Contact Microsoft and have them fix the problem. They have given free extended warranty for three red light problems. If you have bought your xbox360 within 3 years, you're in luck.. They will fix your console for free...

It sounds like the RROD. If your XBOX360 is still under warranty, you can call Microsoft and they'll fix it. If not, you can either ship your XBOX off to be fixed by Microsoft or another company or try fixing it yourself. yes is call the ring of death . but you need to take your xbox to some where to repair it . take it to gamestop......search it in youtube ring of death

the "3 rings of death" or the so called "3 red lights" is actually caused by GPU overheating and mainboard flexing. When you need to do is open your xbox360 (warning, this will void your warranty) add more cooling fan inside your xbox360, you'd want to use 80mm fans coz they fit perfectly. you can fit up to two 80mm fans inside your xbox360.

Also, if you notice that your xbox360's mainboard is warped you need to fix this by disconnecting all the connections from the board. then place the board on a flat surface. then use a hair drier to heat the board and flat it out. its kinda complicated. hehe, at least you now have an idea on whats causing the 3 red lights...

your 360 is a first run off assembly. they were junk from the start. my warranty expired also but called microsoft and they said if the ring of death is related to the first run of 360s they willextend the warranty. exactly what happened to me. 8 days later they sent me a brand new 360 cause problems with the first run 360s can't be properly fixed. contact them tell them the problem and you will get a new one. hope this helps Tadster

If you only have two red lights that means your xbox is overheated I had this trouble and took mine out to the air compresser and blew massive dust out of it,It's been 2 months now no lights.

Thats a "Red Ring Of Death" you usually get it when you Xbox360 Over heats and/or internal hardware is damaged

ring of death microsoft should replace it, take it where you bought it or send it back, call first and tell them its the ring of death.
