Unfortunately this is not a user repairable problem. Either you LCD screen is failing or the ribbon cable connection is not good. Both are not repairable by the consumer.
This sounds like one of two problems - Either an LCD screen problem or a bad CCD sensor. A LCD screen problem would indicate one of two of the following - it was cracked, or the cable inside is either damaged or moved out of the plug and need to be reseated.
A bad CCD sensor would show a pink screen on cameras, but would also show menus on the screen as well, do you see those? The CCD basically captures the image the lens is seeing and translates it to an image the camera can save. Generally the CCD can not be replaced separately from the lens and will require an entire lens assembly for repair.
u cant see it in lcd do u see anything on lcd is it totally blank then its a lcd failure but if it shows signs and functions then it might be a big problem coming ur way that is CCD failure , pls check ur pics by connecting are they normal without any white or pink shades then replace lcd screen
That screen is the lcd screen (liquid crystal display)
I had a fuji E900 that was dropped when the lens was extended , and it broke the lens mount ring inside the camera.
I took the camera apart to try and repaair it.
as part of the dissasembly I removed the lcd .
If you can find a parts camera.with a good lcd, it is worth the effort to simply replace your lcd.
if you need mor info email me , and I will try to describe the dissasenbly sequence for the fuji that I had, perhaps it will be the same for your camera.

I have a Fuji FinePix S5000 Digital camera with a broken LCD screen. I can take pictures thru the view finder but can't see on the LCD screen. How can I get it fixed and how costly would it be?
