Yes it's the keyboard problem. Not only the letter C is the problem, but the first row has the problem. There's a part that needs to be replaced.

Contact the manufacturer and have them repair it for you.

Have a great day!

Started typing multiple letters when only one key is touched.

Sounds like a physical malfunction of the keyboard - in your position, I would replace it. You could try to take it apart (which is easy) but re-assembly can be tricky.

go to control panel, go to device manager.
then see is the keyboard driver is not bad. (marks on it)
sounds like a bad keyboard
you can in fact unplug internal keyboard cable (ribbon type)
use what you just did the virtual keyboard test.
then plug in a every day, usb keyboard and if that works
the internal is bad.
it will not be the first keyboard to fail, ever
the get spilled drinks on them or just wear out.
its now 8 years old.

the nice thing, is that uSB keyboard might last 8 more years.

Asking for a friend, their zxcv keys aren't working, any ideas?

The membrane has most likely been damaged through wear or liquid damage. He/she will need to purchase a new keyboard.

Any USB or PS2 type connection keyboard will do. They should be available at your local computer store.

However there is no harm in trying the keyboard in another computer to rule out the possibility of bad drivers.

Take care!

My keyboard automatically typing letter y and apostrophe's..

Sounds like the keyboard might be bad. Run your fingers thru the keys in a sweepting motion and see if that stops the keyboard from continously typing keys on the screen. If that doesn't do it then its time for a replacement keyboard.

It sounds like the electronic circuit of the keyboard may be failing but to be sure it isn't something simple like a small amount of fluid getting under the keys and acting like a wire to conduct the signal from one set of letters to another. I would remove the keyboard and using compressed air, clean the keyboard with short bursts. The take a Q-tip and alcholhol and run the q-tip under each key to clear away fluid, dirt and debris. If this fails, then I would recomment keyboard replacement.

You might be attacked by a virus, so scan your PC with antivirus thoroughly. If it doesn't work, try my last powerful way. Follow me how:
