When we power on the tv it stays on for an undetermined amount of time and then goes off by itself, it then has a little yellow light on the front of the tv that starts flashing that says lamp and then goes off. We can power it back up but it does the same thing again, each time the time it stays on varies. The model # is WD65731

www.fixya.com/support/t101679-tv_stay Tv won't stay on My tv comes on, the power light comes on, but it won't stay on, it goes off by itself a few seconds - RCA F27450 27" TV question. ... My TV will notcome on, when I hit the power button the green light flashes but the ..... Please do Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.
Does the front light stays green ? Or goes back to red ? The back-light going on/off maybe the problem, but it shoul return with a red blinking led (4 times ?) and if so it can be a power inverter problem.
looks like the same problem i have with my 32" acer tv, it seems to be a problem of acer TVs get someone to check the capacitors in the power supply.... I think one might be bad.
You most likely either have a faulty power supply or high voltage transformer that is failing. You can test them both with a voltmeter or multi-tester. The capacitors on the newer sets seem to overheat and burn out quickly
I have a panasonic TH-42PX60U plasma TV. When I watch TV programing I have no problems, or with the DVD input. But if I switch to another input, be it video game (PS2) or vcr the screen sometimes goes black and the red power lcd light next to the power switch flashes. Holding the power button in for a few seconds will shut down the tv. Then I can turn it back on and it may operate normally again for a undetermined period of time, before the screen goes black again. This never happened when new. The tv is about 1 year old. Any ideas on this problem? Thanks Ernie
