Sounds like a thermal fuse problem!

whens the last time you had the vent cleaned

this failure’s usually not the thermal fuse’s fault, but the real cause lies in a partially (or completely) clogged dryer vent system. In those cases, the thermal fuse is just doing the job it was designed for.

Drum rotating unevenly, squeaking

If the drum moves up/down side/side without the outer drum moving, bearings gone, replace. To check for clothing, which I doubt, remove front seal outer section, look around outer part, to bottom you probably find clip, prise apart, front back, not side ways, refit sideways

My kenmore 417 wahser making too much noise, it looks like the inner tub hitting the outer plastic housing. How can I fix it?

Have you tried moving the clothes around in the drum to balance the drum BEFORE you was them? If that works, you have solved the problem! Most people forget that when cloth gets wet it gets heavy so leaving the clothes unevenly placed in the drum dry will make a real problem when they get wet!

The dryer wont heat up the clothes dont get dry everything eles works on it the drum turns ok the timer works also it just wont dry the clothes

Hello,Sam

The usual reason a dryer will heat yet not dry the clothes is going to be a air flow problem. What ya need to check is for a blocked vent and or lint build up in the blower assambly.

By far though a leading cause of that on Maytag dryers is a broken blower wheel and therefore no warm air is being drawnthrough the clothes,to check that remove the front panel and the front drum support and in the lower left corner will be the blower asm. check to see if it moves free and doesnt seem to be attached to the motor shaft.

I have a stackable washer/dryer gas maytag. Purchased around 17 years ago. The dryer is not drying clothes. Gas is powered fine and it is heating up. The cycle seems shorter than normal

Hello,
The problem with it not drying is most likely going to be a worn out blower wheel thats slipping and not moving the warm air through the clothes to dry them properly. Always a pretty good sign the blower is slipping is,if you hear a rumble noise from the dryer at start up and also that same rumbling noise when the power stops. So if you hear it at start up...wait 30 seconds and open the door and listen for the rumble noise as drum stops. also you can check where the vent exits the house and see if their is air flow when the dryer is running.

We have a Maytag Electric Dryer, Model LDE512 , which leaves black marks on clothes while drying them. The dryer is about 18 yrs. old and has been working great except for this one problem. We have...

HI The drum is mostly stainless steel; The end that contacts the drum guide is just painted steel. After years of rubbing, some rust can form after the paint wears away, thus, causing the stain. Painting the bare metal (after removing all rust) and replacing the tumbler bearings, roller and roller shafts, will correct this issue and prevent it form happening in the future. You should also replace the tumbler seal while the unit is disassembled. Part numbers are below:

Tumbler bearings/Glides(You need two)- 306508
Roller - 12001541
Roller shaft - 6-3129480
Tumbler seal - 314820
Roller Shaft washer - 312535
Retaining Ring(shaft)- 410233

Maytag pavt244aww

We had the same problem and it is a known problem by Maytag. They came and replaced the springs under the drum as the original ones were not stong enough.

Maytag MDG3000AWW drum moving slowly

If the belt looks worn you should replace it. But it sounds like the idler pulley has gone out of position or possibly broken. The idler pulley adds tension to the belt and keeps it from spinning on the drum surface. Check the path of the belt on the bottom of the dryer. That is where the idler pulley is.
